Historic Preservations
Custom Windows for Your Restoration Project
Sash & Transom Specifications
Our Sashes and Transoms are made with white pine. The stiles and rails are 1 3/16” thick x 1 11/16” wide. Muntins are 1 3/16” height x 11/16” width.
The sashes and transoms are screwed together with Zinc plated screws. The stiles, rails and muntins are molded on both sides of the single strength glass (2.5 mm thick) with a small bead of clear latex silicone caulking where the glass meets the wood on the outside of the windows to make the sash weather tight.
All our windows are a true divided lite with single strength glass.
Special Requests
We can increase the thickness of the stiles and rails and/or change the widths of the stiles of rails. For all changes to our normal window profile we request a drawing.
Upgrades to Double Strength glass or Tempered glass are available. We do not use Triple Glazed Glass, Double Glazed glass or Low E glass in our windows.
Barn Windows

Sash Specifications
Our barn sash windows are made of high quality eastern white pine and are easily maintained.
The widths of the stiles and rails are 1 11/16".
Our true divided lite sashes have single strength glass installed into the sash where our rabbeted profiles is on the stiles, rails and muntins.
Barn windows can be used for sheds.
Transom Specifications
Our barn sash windows are made of high quality eastern white pine and are easily maintained.
The widths of the stiles and rails are 1 11/16".
Our true divided lite sashes have single strength glass installed into the sash where our rabbeted profiles is on the stiles, rails and muntins.

Most commonly ordered shed windows are 18"w x 22"h , 20"w x 24"h , 24"w x 28"h or 32"w x 36"h.

Venting and Non-Venting Options
Stable Windows
Windows that have ventilation would be our Hopper Window Units or Single-Hung Window Units.
If a non-venting window is needed our barn sashes will work.
Our sashes can be converted into a functioning window by the customer.
We do not carry galvanized grills/grates or heavy duty mesh.
Chicken Coop Windows
You can use a barn sash for a chicken coop unless you need a window that has ventilation.
Our Hopper Window Units or Single-Hung Window Units can be used for Chicken Coops.
